Prerequisites
The PADI TEC 45 Diver Course prerequisites:
- Must be a PADI Tec 40 Diver
- Must be a PADI Rescue Diver (with proof of CPR/First Aid Training within the last 2 years)
- Must be a have a minimum of 50 logged dives, with at least 10 dives deeper than 30 meters/100 feet
- Must be a minimum of 18 years old
Course Medical Requirements:
Scuba diving requires a minimum level of health and fitness. Chronic health conditions, certain medications and/or recent surgery may require a physician sign off, for technical diving you will require a physician sign off within the last 12 months, before any in water activities can take place.
Avoid disappointment, download and review the Diver Medical form to ensure you won’t need a physician’s approval to dive before enrolling in a scuba course. Instructors, divemasters and dive shop staff are not physicians and should not be asked for medical advice; only medical professionals can give medical clearance to dive.

Step 2 – At The Diving Academy With Your Instructor
You will learn more advanced decompression, gas planning, decompression models, and fine-tune your thinking like a technical diver.
Tec 45 Trimix (Upgrade)
Curious about the benefits of using Trimix gas, like decreased gas density and reduced narcosis? Tec 45 divers can also learn to use trimix with not less than 21 percent oxygen and not more than 35 percent helium.
