What Is PADI Women’s Dive Day?
PADI Women’s Dive Day is an international celebration launched by PADI (Professional Association of Diving Instructors) to encourage more women to experience the wonders of the underwater world. Since its inception in 2015, it has grown into the most celebrated day of diving on the planet, breaking down barriers and building up a vibrant, supportive community of divers from all walks of life.
Each year, thousands of events are held across the globe to promote gender equality, inclusivity, and conservation awareness in diving.

To mark this special occasion, Diving Academy has put together a weekend of exciting events in July 2025 to empower and celebrate women in diving:
Thursday 17th July – Go Pro Night
Interested in taking your scuba journey to the next level? Join us for a Go Pro Night hosted by our experienced PADI Course Director. This free event is open to anyone curious about becoming a PADI Divemaster or Instructor. Learn how to turn your passion into a career, explore the steps involved, and hear inspiring stories from those who’ve made the leap.
Saturday 19th July – PADI Women’s Dive Day Fun Dive at Vobster
Celebrate the heart of the weekend with a fun dive at Vobster Quay, led by our amazing team of female dive professionals. Whether you’re a certified diver or just looking to reconnect with the diving community, this day is all about inclusivity, connection, and fun in the water. It’s a relaxed and supportive atmosphere where everyone is welcome.
Saturday 19th & Sunday 20th July – PADI Rescue Diver Course
Ready to challenge yourself? Kirsty and Emma, two of our most experienced female instructors, will be running a full PADI Rescue Diver Course over the weekend. Learn vital skills like managing dive emergencies, performing rescues, and increasing your confidence in the water. It’s one of the most rewarding courses in the PADI system – and even better when led by an inspiring, all-female team.
Showcasing Women in Diving All Month Long
In addition to our events, we’ll be celebrating and showcasing our incredible female team members and students across our social media channels throughout the month of July. Follow us on Instagram and Facebook to meet the faces behind the fins — from instructors and divemasters to newly certified students who are making waves in their own unique ways.
